WEST AUSTRALIAN FLORAL ART SOCIETY INC
The aims of this society are:-
To cultivate an appreciation of flowers and floral design.
To develop the skills of creative floral design among its members by friendly competition at its meetings, with monthly demonstrations and periodic hands-on workshops.
To foster a friendly atmosphere to enjoy the beauty of flowers and admire the creative talents of the members.
MONTHLY MEETINGS:- Held on the second Saturday of each month (except January) from 12.45pm until approximately 4.30pm.
Meetings are held in the Osborne Park Adam Spagnolo Community Centre 11 Royal Street, Osborne Park, Western Australia.
Members are able to compete and stage designs in a variety of sections with numerous interpretive and definition subjects. The judging of exhibits being assessed by qualified Floral Art Judges who also provide constructive feedback on exhibitor designs. Demonstrations on two subjects are provided at each meeting with smaller 15-minute demonstrations or talks also being conducted. A comprehensive library is available to members with an extensive range of floral designs books and videos for hire.
Visitors are most welcome to attend meetings (a $4.00 visitors fees applies which includes tea, coffee and cake).
