PREPARING THE EARTH FOR PLANTING

DIGGING INTO THE EARTH
As we work the soil, we are connecting with the very substance of our being.

PLANT YOUR HANDS IN THE EARTH
When feeling irritable or depressed, go into your garden and insert your hands into the soil. Forget your troubles, plant something and you will soon feel revitalized.

********************

PLANTING THE GARDEN

GOD CREATED A GARDEN FOR ADAM AND EVE TO LIVE IN AND RELAX
Plant your own garden and take time off to smell the roses.

PLANTING A GARDEN displays your belief in tomorrow and caring for a garden reveals your investment in the future.

GROW SOMETHING GOOD IN THE GARDEN
Horticulture assists us to get our mind off our own growing concerns and onto a real growing concern in the garden.

********************

PRUNING

WINTER IS PRUNING TIME
Don't take your frustrations out on the people around you. Use your energy to prune the roses and fruit trees.

********************

WATER IN THE GARDEN

RUNNING WATER
There in nothing more relaxing than sitting alongside a babbling brook amongst the trees and shrubs. Create a small waterfall or running stream in your garden and nearby place a seat or log to sit upon. Make time to rest there at least twenty minutes a day, allowing your mind and body to relax taking up the peace and serenity.
